Updating the launcher

 

In this case, the program is not configured to update itself. To get a patch or a new version of the prog, you have to visit the website AmiGame, section "Downloads". The partner sites will also inform you on new versions.

 

+ To install a patch, launch the .exe and point the Amigame folder. Follow the instructions of the patch installation program for appropriate details.

 

+ To install a new version of the launcher, proceed as follows:

- Uninstall the old version of Amigame. you will NOT loose your files (only the launcher itself), the main folder and the subfolders contents remain as before!.

- Execute the installation program of the new launcher, and point to the Amigame folder.Follow the instructions of the patch installation program for appropriate details. 

 

 

Updating the contents

 

Thanks to this menu you can easily download the last version of the database or cover arts, screenshots, logos, floppies (pictures) and audio files which are missing. This menu does NOT deal with the launcher update (as described above).

 

To access the update section, go to the "OPTIONS" button then select "GENERAL", a window pop up :

 

 

+ [ Database ] : 

You can easily view your current version, if a recent one has been updated, the "UPDATE" button will be unlocked. 

 

+ [ Cover arts, Screenshots, Logos and Floppies (pictures) ] : 

Select the button "DOWNLOAD" to get the screenshots, logos, and floppies (pictures) which are missing. That returns you directly on the AmiGame site which contains all the packages.

 

+ [ Audio Files ] : 

Based on the same process, the Amiga modules (.mod) or converted MP3's are availaible on the website.

 

Clicking the "OK" button will exit the "Update" menu.
